About Me

Hi. I'm Emily.

I'm a busy creative gal that lives in a rustic cabin (yes, I do have running water, and a kitchenette). I created this blog so that I'd have some way to stay creative and learn new things, and keep myself accountable to these things. Also, people wanted me to share all the things I'd learned or created, so I thought I'd just put them all in a blog!

First of all, I write about recipes I've discovered that were real hits, like this gorgeous apple pie.
You can find the blog post featuring this tastiness HERE.

Like I said before, I also highly enjoy creative projects. I am a real do-it-yourself-er. If I can save money by doing it myself, I will! Like this creative mason jar soap dispenser that I found on pinterest and made myself:
You can find the instructions on my blog post HERE.

Another big DIY hit on my blog has been this awesome ninja cd storage holder. I'm a photographer, and I keep backup cd's of all my shoots. I wanted a really cool way to store the cd's on my bookshelf but still make it look pretty.
You can see the instructions by clicking HERE.

I also adore thrift stores. Yeah, I can be a real penny-pincher. But I love the unique things one can find at the thrift stores, and you're sure to find things you will not find at your local department store. Besides, I can find a lot of the things I really like at my grandma's house at the thrift store, and let me tell you, the quality of that stuff is way beyond the quality of the stuff manufactured now! I did a really cool kitchen makeover with just things bought from the thrift store. This is a photo of my boring kitchen when I first moved in:
If you want to see what it looks like now, you can read the Thrift Store Kitchen Makeover post HERE.

I usually try to post at least once a week, sometimes I will have a streak of posting just about every day. You can subscribe to read my posts whenever I post them!

Enjoy!!
